January 23, 2025

5 PM - 6 PM local time

Topic:  Coaching - Personal Identity in Parenthood

Why is having a strong personal identity important as a parent? Isn’t self-care just selfish? In this discussion we will explore:

  • Barriers to maintaining selfhood post-kids

  • Benefits of a strong personal identity

  • Strategies for reclaiming identity

We will discover that true self-love is not at all selfish, but instead a beautiful gift that we can give to our children and our partners, as well as to ourselves. As we reclaim our own identity we can connect more deeply with our kids and can confidently navigate whatever challenges arise. As a dedicated parent navigating the challenging waters of motherhood, Suzanna Blahna understands firsthand the complexities and realities of parenting. Delaying parenthood until her mid-thirties, she believed she was well-prepared for the journey ahead. However, she soon found herself in a deep pit of despair, grappling with feelings of overwhelm and disconnection. It was through this struggle that she discovered the necessity of finding joy and meaning beyond her role as a mother.
Suzanna holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Social Sciences from Harvard University and is a Certified Professional Coach and Certified Master Coach through the Center for Coaching Certification. She has further honed her skills through training with The Moment Institute where she completed the Narrative Coaching. And she is a proud member of the International Coaching Federation.
