FAQ
1) What is this event?
The virtual event is a collective reflection on peace, unity, and safety that will occur continuously over the weekend of September 27 - 29, 2024. During the event, we will invite ANHW members to post responses to a single prompt about moving forward in light of the challenges facing institutions, workplaces, and communities across the world. The event will occur on a Kudoboard, a large electronic bulletin board. Participants will be able to post text responses, videos, and images in response to a single prompt.
2) What is a collective reflection?
A collective reflection is a space that allows members of our community to share ideas with one another. Think of it as an electronic bulletin board at your favorite coffee shop. Given that we have members from six continents around the world, we expect this collective reflection to serve as an illustration of the value and richness of diversity.
3) Why is the ANHW sponsoring this event?
The ANHW is sponsoring this unique event as a commitment to our members and our willingness to bring attention to the value of diverse voices in our world. Too often, singular voices set the tone at important junctures in our history. This event is designed to remind us of the value of reaching beyond one voice while honoring the incredible contributions of many who stand poised to make a difference in our world.
4) How do members participate?
It’s easy! Register here to get a ticket to this virtual event. All registrants need to be members of the ANHW. Not a member? Visit our website here to join. A few days in advance of the event, registrants will receive an email with a link to the Kudoboard. This link will serve as your ticket to the event.
5) What is the prompt for this event?
The kudoboard will ask participants to respond to the following question: “What one action would you recommend we take to establish a climate of peace, unity, and safety in our communities and in our world at large?”
6) What do members do once they are at the kudoboard?
Participants can post text, a short video, or images in response to the prompt. All posts will be reviewed by the ANHW Board before becoming public. Posting guidelines will be distributed in the email that accompanies the event ticket.
7) Will my personal information be visible?
No. All approved posts will be de-identified. Respondents will be identified by school affiliation and initials only.
8) Will everyone’s submission be posted?
All participants will receive posting guidelines in the email that accompanies their event ticket. If posting guidelines are not followed, the submission will not be posted. We welcome and expect diverse views. We will, however, not allow hate speech on the kudoboard.
9) Where can I find more information?
