DC Chapter Presents Artina 2020: Light: A Sculptural Solar Dance

Visit the exhibit on your own and then join Sarah Rodman and the curator/juror for a zoom discussion on Oct. 22 at 7 pm. Register and you will receive the zoom link.

ARTINA is an all outdoor sculpture garden featuring works by members of the Washington Sculpture's Group. One of the sculptors is Sarah Rodman, a member of ANHW. The free self-paced exhibition is on view until November 7, 2020 at the Sandy Spring Museum, 17901 Bentley Road at Route 108, Sandy Spring, Maryland 20860. Please note face masks must be worn in Montgomery County, by anyone two or older, while outdoors and in contact with others, especially when people are unable to maintain social distance protocol.

ANHW members are welcome to visit SSM's 12-acre rustic grounds from dawn till dusk, seven days a week. Saturdays and Sundays are fine; the site is never crowded and the air is always fresh! Onsite parking is free. There are lots of picnic tables. No reservations are necessary. The museum building and restrooms are closed (closest public restrooms are a few miles west on Route 108 in Olney or east in Ashton) due to CV-19 and will reopen when Montgomery County guidelines allow. SSM's indoor exhibits highlight community history and regional artists.

Touring the outdoor exhibition by foot takes about twenty minutes. Art works are spread out and safely distanced from each other. With ample outdoor space, ARTINA is fully accessible to all - even during a time of pandemic and plague!
