ANHW receives “Outstanding Alumni Community Award”
October 28, 2024
ANHW reached a milestone recently when it received the Outstanding Alumni Community Award. The unexpected Harvard Alumni Association (HAA) honor recognized the membership base of 12,000 Harvard graduates spanning continents and generations. It also recognized the SIG's ability to create "inclusive space for organic conversations."

Mission
ANHW advances the value of women’s leadership and success across the global society.
Expanding the definition of success and leadership to include traditional and non-traditional areas, both paid and unpaid, we provide opportunities for networking and providing platforms that increase and strengthen women’s voices, equity, and leadership presence within the University and the larger society.
Goals
ANHW celebrates our community's diversity. We want women and supporters of all identities, including but not limited to, different races, nations, national origins, genders, sexual orientations, and physical abilities to know that you belong here!
To increase and strengthen women’s presence, voices, equity, and leadership within the University and the larger society.
To provide opportunities for networking and a platform from which to address issues of particular concern to women within the University and beyond.

Chapters and Discussion Social Groups (DSGs)
While ANHW is a global community, we also believe in the power of women connecting locally. This is why we created Chapter and DSGs.
Chapters are the largest groups, concentrated in a single location.
DSGs are smaller groups, focused on connecting through discussion and socialization.

Connect Locally
Connect Globally
“The strength of ANHW comes from women of different backgrounds, cultures and walks of life being able to bond over shared visions and values.”
Ivy A. Wang, Pacific Zone Chair
“The first voice to speak should say, ‘Welcome.’ This voice invites us in, it invites our voices together. ANHW is the group that says, ‘Welcome.’ Together, we are heard.”
Tamarah Rockwood, ANHW Seattle
“At ANHW, each event we hold, each meeting, each web call, each get-together over coffee, each discussion -- every time we connect or participate or reach out to one another is another thread strengthening the meshwork of our association, helping us move forward together with more understanding of and appreciation for each other's perspectives, concerns, and insights.”
Catherine Nelson, Central U.S. Zone Chair
